Cook Portable Warehouses

I bought a Cooks Portable Warehouse building because I needed a shingled roof and it had to color match my house according to my subdivision covenants. I paid about $800.00 extra to have a garage door installed instead of the Barn Doors.

The reason was so I could build a ramp for getting my riding mower in and out without having to cut the bottom of the barn doors off and possibly allowing rain to enter there. I had a house type door installed on the side so I wouldn't have to always enter through the Garage door. After a year or two I noticed the house type door had rotted out and was letting water in my shop and rotting my floor. I called Cook and they came to see about it.

That is when they told me that they didn't cover house type doors under their 25 year policy. I said why not? They told me they just didn't. They said I should have painted the door frame.

I said I didn't know that Cook didn't paint it. Why didn't Cook paint it? What a sorry bunch to do this to me. I am going to have to pay someone to replace the door trim now that I know it was never painted in the first place.

I know these guys that come to your house and have to deal with the building owners hate their jobs. Having to deal with customers who have been *** on by Cook Portable Warehouses.

went to the location on ne 23rd in okc not one but two times to look at the quality and workmanship of buildings and like I said came back 2nd time to purchase. short and long of it is this.

1) Lied to by Steve at that location about lifetime warranty ( was told by him covered all. was asked that EXACT question). 2) put 500.00 dollar deposit down on building with payment of the balance on delivery. Well Steve called on the 7th of March and left vm saying that it would be 140.00 dollars OVER what the contract was written for.

3)we found out also that the delivery was was gonna be in the afternoon on the 14th March ( which he had told us, my gf and myself that it would be am 14th march) 4) morning of my aunts funeral, last thurs 10th march a gentleman called and said he wanted to make it right so I told him what the problem was, and he said he would have the driver call me and get it settled so could be am on 14th.. well this " einstein" called me and got sideways telling me how it would be 15th march am.By this time I was soooo frustrated I just didnt argue, just hung up..5) called and told Steve at lot I just wanted my check back since they had not provided building , etc..still have not received my check back. so my gf called the guy in charge to see if would go ahead and deliver since it is too late to get another building co to deliver another building ( I am on vacation this week and would not be able to do again for awhile).. Now he wont answer the phone from my gf..

world to the wise folks, RUN!!!! as fast as you can and dont hesitate to contact me I can show you all the paperwork.. These guys ar pothetic salesman..

I worked retail for 30 years.. If I did this I wouldnt have worked 3 days in retail....

A friend of mine asked me to finish the inside of her cook portable warehouse and I agreed. I was roughing it at the time staying on the property while doing the work.

Unaware that she was behind on payments I had all of my belongings inside of the building. Mt tools, all of my clothes, legal documents, baby pictures of my child, sentimental items and much more all taken along with the shed in a repossession. I called the local office and got no help then the corporate office where the woman was very rude and unhelpful. I have lost everything because of this and feel like the cook company should do something.

They would not tell me where I could get my personal belongings only that the shed had been cleaned out for resale and they didn't know where my personal belongings were. I am very unhappy and will notify the Better Business Bureau and a lawyer if necessary.
